Is it possible to "Mark as Read" any post cross-posted to a particular newsgroup??

On UseNet, some/several posters have a habit of cross-posting their messages to news group that I am not in the least interested in, so is it possible to set up a filter to "Mark as Read" any message that is Cross-posted to particular news group??

I've had a look in the Tools->Message Filters->New screen and it seems to allow to filter on "Subject", "From", "Date" and "Size" and it then offers "Customize". I'm guessing, if filtering on "newsgroups cross-posted to", it would be under this selection ..... Right??

Since you're not interested in the other group, why not just ignore it? Read the original in the group you like, and don't even subscribe to the other. Or am I missing something?

I'm not the OP, but I can two uses.
   1. If subscribed only to group A a cross-post to group B is a
reliable indicator that post will not be of interest.
      [suspect is the OP's case]

That's my situation .... except that the posters I want to get rid of from my group A don't just post to group B but to groups C, D, E, etc., etc., etc. which hold no interest what-so-ever for me.

   2. When subscribed to both groups A and B it would be convenient
to see the message only once. [would be useful to me]

This very useful function (Mark Cross-posts as Read) used to be available in Mozilla Suite ... or was it as far back as Netscape suite from which it disappeared??

By-the-By, today, as I read these responses to my OP, I do not actually SEE my OP even though my display is set as View->Threads->Threads with Unread!!
