Hi Paul,
Thanks ever so much. Your option 1 worked beautifully, and your advice
was as clear as a bell. I really do appreciate it.
Best,
Mort

I wish to delete only the New York Times cookies from my hard drive.
However, when I click on it under the cookie manager list, nothing
happens. It will not delete, and it will not drag to the recycle bin.
Option 1: Use this link for the Cookie Manager:
<chrome://communicator/content/permissions/cookieViewer.xul>
Select the cookies you wish to delete and click "Remove Cookie." Answer
"Remove" when prompted.
Option 2: From a browser window, do Tools | Data Manager and at the top
left, where it says, "All data types," pull down "Cookies only" from the
list. In the list at left, click the domain name "nytimes.com" once, and
in the list that appears on the right, click one of the cookies and then
CTRL-A to select all of them. Click "Remove" at the bottom, and answer
"Remove" when prompted.
Afterwards, how can I block only further New York Times cookies?
In Option 1 above, above, check the box "Don't allow websites that set
removed cookies to set future cookies" before you click the "Remove"
button.
In Option 2 above, check the box "When removing, block the listed
websites from setting future cookies" before you click the "Remove" button.
In both options, the next time you do this for a different website, make
sure the check box is set the way you want it before you click the
"Remove" button. I don't remember if that setting survives until your
next visit.
