That's why it's a good idea, when you're working mostly with the
keyboard, to park the cursor in some safe location away from the
application tiles on the taskbar. I used to have the same problem
until I developed that habit.
In my case the two windows are maximised. When I do a reply the mouse is
located inside the reply text.
