Sometimes I carefully craft e-mails in vertical columns, but when sent, they are all jumbled up and the data are co-mingled, often rendering them incoherent.
Why does this happen, and how can I correct it?
In HTML composition you're normally using variable pitch fonts, which you cannot expect to maintain columnar formatting without using tables or other complexity. Plain text composition should keep your columns the way you want them.
