second one, and update the first.

Chris, you typed that it will use the first pref to find the profile
and, if that fails, it will then use the second pref.
How does this second pref get set?? And, if it is the fail back for when
the first mentioned pref fails, why not eliminate the first pref and
always use this alternate pref??
