Totall agree. Moreover on the official downloads page (URL: https://download.mozilla.org/?product=seamonkey-2.40&os=linux&lang=en-US) on which there's a green box with the words "Download Now", there's no mention as to whether the download, Linux GTK2 English (38MB), is for x86 or x86_64 arch. The webmaster should specify clearly that the download link in the green box is for 32-bit arch. > Try this one: > > https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/releases/2.39/contrib/seamonkey-2.39.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2 I downloaded the latest version 2.40, x86_64 architecture whose URL is to be found under the sub-heading "Contributed builds (other platforms". I untarred it and am able to launch it without problem. Thanks. >Not sure about the weasel, but Firefox uses .mozilla/firefox >while seamonkey uses .mozilla/seamonkey, so no shared profiles. You're right. On Debian 8.3, in the home directory, there's a hidden folder called .mozilla. When I opened it, there were two folders: firefox (for Iceweasel) and seamonkey. Conclusion: firefox and seamonkey don't share profiles. _____________________________________________________________ Washington DC's Largest FREE Email service. ---> http://www.DCemail.com ---> A Washington Online Community Member ---> http://www.DCpages.com _______________________________________________ support-seamonkey mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
