I frequently mail to an old friend in Calgary. He has dementia and is

I often include photographs in the mail. If I just 'drop' them then they
display overfilling the screen. If I attach them then my friend then has
to double click to call up another program which is not easy for him.
I appreciate that the size of the photo display can be reduced via the
'reply' icon but this is very clumsy and contrasts to the Apple Mail
program where small / medium/ large options are prominent.
Does anyone have a workaround or an easy way of including photos that do
not overfill the recipient's screen. I am anxious to maintain meaningful
contact with him for as long as possible in a way that is that the
recipient simply has just to open the mail?
PS. Many many thanks to the SeaMonkey team for all their efforts.
If you send as HTML, you can specify the image size in percent (of the
screen size). Do Insert | Image, navigate to the image location on your
computer, and select it. In the insert dialog, choose the "Dimensions"
tab, "Custom size," and enter the width in "percent" (not "pixels").
SeaMonkey will also insist that you enter an "alternate text," which
should be a short descriptive word or phrase.
You need not specify both height and width; 99% width is enough.
