Hello everyone,
(I know I can download the installer manually and update using that.)
Does anyone one know why the inline update process is failing?
When I select "Check for Updates..." I get this error box:
Update failed
"Server certificate has expired (please adjust your system clock
to the correct date and time if it is incorrect)"
=> My system clock is correct AFAICT.
Looking at about:config, I see
app.update.url =
https://aus2-community.mozilla.org/update/3/%PRODUCT%/%VERSION%/%BUILD_ID%/%BUILD_TARGET%/%LOCALE%/%CHANNEL%/%OS_VERSION%/%DISTRIBUTION%/%DISTRIBUTION_VERSION%/update.xml
and indeed:
aus2-community.mozilla.org uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate expired on 11/09/2015 01:59.
The current time is 11/09/2015 16:51.
(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)
I suppose Mozilla plans to update that cert soon? :-)
If I examine the certificate for https://www.seamonkey-project.org/
I get another type of error:
www.seamonkey-project.org uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for the following names:

Could Mozilla add seamonkey-project.org to the list?
(So I don't have to make an exception to browse securely.)
Regards.
Yesterday I helped a neighbour with that problem.
Although not SM but TB.
It turned out to be AVAST mail shield interfering
with his mail.
Killed the mail shield.
