Try pressing the F11 key at the top of your keyboard. This is a toggle:
Pressing it once makes the view-port full-screen, and pressing it again
restores the prior state.
That did it! Thank you so much; that got me out of a very frustrating
situation.
Not sure how, but I must have accidentally hit it while reaching for
something else.
