That is because your mindset has been formed to equate "better off"
only with "richer" and "control more territory". They know that, and
they can play with that.
You haven't answered the question. What's the benefit to them?
Maybe they feel better when they see their perceived oppressors end
up in misery, even when they don't directly benefit themselves.
Or they want to show you that self-declared freedom is worth nothing
when it is not upheld against slight pressure.
Neither of you have answered stango's question - what does this have to
do with Seamonkey? :)
