Rufus, I note that you are using a Mac....Could it be that it's phoning
home to check for system updates??? Do Mac's do this like Windows???
They do, but I have some control over that, and it happens in a System
Preference independent of SM - I set to check for Apple Software Update
manually and those requests for passwords are handled via Apple
Keychain, not SM.
This is a SM problem - it happens every session (just happened now,
under 2.0.14 on this machine). SM worked as advertised up until about
SM 1.1.12 or 1.1.16 or somewhere thereabouts. Then it broke and has
stayed broken. I'll write a formal bug later today probably, after I
install and observe SM 2.7 on my MacBook Pro and Mini tonight.
The worst thing about it is that when it happens with a download in
progress SM freezes and I have to Force Quit and I lose the whole
session - including the download. I'll also add that I have a second
Profile that does not have a Master Password set (because I don't use
Mail/News in that Profile) and this does not happen with that Profile.
