Are you using the 32-bit or 64-bit version of SeaMonkey?

32-bit, for now (see below).

Is SeaMonkey the only Mozilla application installed on your system? The
.mozilla/plugins folder is shared between all of my Mozilla apps.

No. No such folder here.

Did pluginreg.dat get recreated when you restarted SeaMonkey?

No.

Maybe these will help.

Yes! One links to: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Gecko_Plugin_API_Reference/Plug-in_Basics#How_Gecko_Finds_Plug-ins where I learnt I can set MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH.

I did so, including both /usr/lib/browser-plugins and /usr/lib64/browser-plugins. Now SM finds Flash and Adobe Reader, both of which are in /lib/, and I get error messages about those in /lib64/.

So my next step is to try SM 64-bit.

I had problems with the SeaMonkey 64-bit version and plugins, so
reverted to the 32-bit version.

Did you find in yast 32-bit versions of all your plugins?
