Questions about updating to 2.4

Preparing for an update, if I backup the "Seamonkey2" folder I created 
for my last install, does it include *everything* I need, should I have 
problems with the 2.4 install?   I've got some old mozilla.org files on 
my system, which gave me pause.

Also, can I update from SM 2.0.10 directly?   TIA....
