I have been using the Seamonkey feed reader (the one built in the Mail module) since, well, since 2.0, I guess, which was when it became available if memory doesn't fail me. Over time I added quite a lot of feeds to follow (most of them are low-traffic ones, so it doesn't take me much time). But a while ago I noticed something disturbing:
Seamonkey fails to automatically update some feeds. The setup is fine, if I right-click on the feed and choose "Get messages" it will download the missing updates immediately. But it doesn't do it on its own, or when I do "Get messages" for the entire "Blogs & News Feeds" account. I have to go feed by feed manually downloading the messages to be certain none of them is missing the updates. Now, I admit that many of those unchecked lists are ones I have been deferring reading for a while. Could it be that the feed reader deliberately "mothballs" feeds that haven't been actually read in a while? If so, is there a setting to adjust/fix this? -- MCBastos This message has been protected with the 2ROT13 algorithm. Unauthorized use will be prosecuted under the DMCA. -=-=- ...
