have to do now to get Hotmail to recognize SM 2.0.14?

Upgrade to 2.2 (or 2.3) and you *should* be good.

But then you get duplicate tabs when you click on Home. Bug 369440. That's
keeping me with 2.0.xx

Second that, among other still-present glitches...

Arnie, check how you have your prefs configured for adding the Firefox
notations to your UA string. My own SM 2.0.14 (running Mnenhy 0.8.3 for
expanded header info) is listing your UA as the following:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.16) Gecko/20110319
Firefox/3.6.16 Firefox /3.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.9.2.16) Gecko/20110319 Firefox/3.6.16 Firefox/3.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows;
U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.16) Gecko/20110319 Firefox/3.6.16
Firefox/3.0

It looks like your SM is sending the UA in quadruplicate, with a triplicate of
the same info prefaced by a UA that only references Gecko info. This is very
strange. Compare your UA above to my own below:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420
Lightning/1.0b1 Mnenhy/0.8.3 SeaMonkey/2.0.14

Something appears to be skewed in the way your copy of SM is relaying its User
Agent string. Definitely need to check that. I'd say that's probably the
core of the problem.
