There seem to be one candidate place:
- On the Newsgroup panel, Tools | Message Filters --> Customize ..
But I couldn't make it work.
I also looked at
- On Newsgroup panel right side, View: customize ...
But that didn't have a choice of "doesn't contain", so I couldn't
make a filter of "Newsgroups _doesn't_contain_ alt.folklore.computers"

I use NewsProxy which allows one to filter out crossposts as well as
the usual filters.
