Hello, I'm Zsombor Szántó and I'd love to participate in GSoC this year with
Fedora at the CommOps team.

# About me
I'm from Hungary, I'm a freshman BI student at Corvinus University of Budapest,
and a Fedora user since F19.
Infrastructure tools and Linux on the server-side in general interest me a lot.
I've been programming as a hobby for about 4 years, and I'm most comfortable in
Python and Ruby.
I'm passionate about free software as a user, and I'd like to contribute to
Fedora to help make it even better.

I have a few small projects of my own [1], and I also make occasional fixes or
additions to programs I use [2].
However, my goal is to become more involved with opensource development, and I
think this program with the mentoring and guidance is a great opportunity for
that.

# Project preparation
I'd like to work on the Metrics project of the CommOps team [3] where I could
take the "Custom statscache plugins for metrics" task.

I've tried out the related tools for the project: statscache,
statscache_plugins, fedora-stats-tools, and gsoc-stats.
While I was going through the statscache plugin guide I stumbled upon a small
bug there, which I submitted a PR for here [4].

I'll be discussing the project with the CommOps team, and upload my final
application to the wiki - I'll be online and ask some questions about the
project at #fedora-commops later today.

Regards,
Zsombor
