The individual will be responsible for receiving detailed design specifications, asking questions to clarify requirements, creating ETL work products in each system environment using SSIS, requesting migration of code components, updating defect tracking systems, and reporting issues and defects within OPERS and the Project Managers guidelines. Please supply resumes to staff the following role as described below: ETL/SSIS Developer During the system development life cycle, for the project identified above, the required deliverables to be completed by the ETL/SSIS Developer will include, but not be limited to, the following: ETL Components: After receipt of detailed design specifications, the developer should be able to build ETL components within the design framework in place at OPERS. Developer should be able to ask questions to clarify requirements and suggest areas of improvement for the component. The components will be built using Microsoft SSIS technology. ETL Testing: The candidate should be able to unit test their component work with minimal supervision, producing high quality work products, requiring minimum rework. Component Scheduling: With coordination with other team members, devise the optimum scheduling solution for the ETL work product. Scheduling will take into account system run times, vendor schedules, source and target system requirements, and current scheduling constraints and dependencies. Source Code Control: The candidate should be familiar with source code control concepts in a multi-developer environment. Communication will be required among all developers to ensure good source control standards are kept. Inline Documentation: The candidate will maintain accepted OPERS standards for documenting process and procedure inside the code components. Components will be maintained at a later time by OPERS developers and thorough documentation will be critical. The ETL/SSIS Developer will also be expected to work closely with OPERS Investments IT Programming staff and Investment Accounting staff. Refer to Attachment A, ETL/SSIS Developer Skill Set Matrix, for additional technology, process, and software skills. The candidate should possess a keen sense for detail and be able to offer repeatable, high quality ETL work products to support the effort.
