Oh nice!

But I am fully uninformed what to do now. :-(

I am interested in getting Stellarium on an armhf platform running Ubuntu
14.4LTS. As a "simple user", I can be expected to know how to apt-get
install something, or tar zxvf some_package.tgz , and then
./configure&&make -j10 && sudo make install if required.

On my armhf devices (Odroid C1 (9fps) and XU3 (~15fps, but was much faster
a few months ago!(??)), and RaspberryPi2 (if eglfs issues can ever be
solved there, I expect around 5fps)) I have to build Qt5, a more recent
cmake (3.+) than comes via apt-get install (2.8.x), and Stellarium, where
I have to patch link.txt after running cmake. If any of these steps can be
packed into (short & working) rules to download prebuilt packages or at
least configure with optimized build settings, this would be fine.
