No, Alex, it was not as simple as a 'problem with deployment'.  

The problem is that QtQuick is deprecated, and what was in the labs package 
with 1.0 is now in the main 2.0. This was a bigger issue on Mac; the deployment 
didn't include the labs modules.  Alex has modified so that it does. So for the 
time being, these deprecated labs modules are still usable; but for how long?
