Hi Alex

Here is my full report
My builds of 5760 under Qt 4.8.2 behave exactly the same as your 32 bit builds
with Qt 4.8.4 on all computers.

I have tested Stellarium 32 bit and 64 bit wherever possible. The results are:

Main computer Intel graphics HD4000 quadcore
  1. XP SP3 No display of splash
( on first start this computer displays the contents of the video memory
for a few seconds but nothing in following starts)
  2. Win7 64bit Home premium No display of splash
2a Win7 64bit running 32 bit Stellarium No Splash display
  3. Win7 64bit Ultimate No display of splash
  4. Ubuntu 12.04 in Win 7 Home premium Virtual Splash displays correctly

Acer Lap aspire Intel 965 family graphics
  5. Win XP SP3 no display of Splash
  6. Vista Home no display of Splash

HP Desktop Intel 82865 graphics
  7. XP SP3 No display of Splash (I get an instantaneous splash)

Acer Laptop 5560 ATI Graphics
  8. Win7 64 bit Home premium No display of splash

 11. Win 7 64 bit Ultimate Splash displays correctly
11a Win 7 64 bit 32 bit Stellarium Splash displays correctly
12 Ubuntu 12.04 in Win 7 ultimate virtual Splash displays correctly

The only computer that shows the splash is the windows 7 ultimate on the ASRock

Hello Barry,

Stellarium still does not display the flash screen in Windows on start up. This
problem has been around ever since the new rendering engine was included. This
needs to be resolved before you do another release.

How can I reproduce this issue? I tested application on Windows XP SP3
(32-bits) and Windows 7 SP1 (32- and 64-bits) without problems for splash
screen.

Can you write characteristics for your build environment?
