I have a SuSE linux machine (actually the 'IBM protector' product) that I
am installing staf on.
cat /etc/SuSE-release
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (i586)
VERSION = 11
PATCHLEVEL = 3
I have used the kit STAF3414-linux.tar.gz
After this install it seems that the ssl libraries are not usable by the
other applications after a system reboot.
Is it possible to:
a) use a command line option to not install ssl file?
b) know what system files are being changed.
A reference in http://staf.sourceforge.net/current/STAFFAQ.htm#d0e1278
indicates that the staf install will add libraries to windows machine, but
there is
no indication that this happens on Linux. So I am surprised that there is
an impact. We have seen this on two different machine install attempts on
different machines.
Note also that an uninstall does not restore the system to the previous
state, so the system is broken and will hang during normal boot process.
regards,
Richard
