Yes, you can use the STAF PROCESS service to START most any command. The
command that the STAF PROCESS START requests executes could be something
that has been coded to accept input dynamically. For example, the command
executed could be a Java application that uses the STAF QUEUE service to
listen on its STAF handle's queue for messages that tell it what commands
to execute.

execute "parted" command under linux shell and later dinamically choose
