STAF itself works fine on Windows Server 2012 64-bit (formerly codenamed Windows Server 8) that just GAed today. It is just the installer that STAF uses (InstallAnywhere) that doesn't support Windows Server 2012 yet. InstallAnywhere will provide a new version that supports Windows Server 2012 now that it has GAed. You can download the STAF 3.4.9 installer for Windows 8 Consumer Preview 64-bit, (e.g. STAF349-setup-Windows8_Preview_x64.exe) instead of using the STAF installer for winamd64 via the STAF download webpage ( http://staf.sourceforge.net/getcurrent.php) and that should install successfully on Windows Server 2012 64-bit. Once InstallAnywhere is updated to support Windows Server 2012, I'll update STAF to use the new InstallAnywhere version (there is already an open feature for this).
