What version of STAF is running on the machine where the Perl script is
being run? And what operating system?
What version of STAF and STAX is sunning on the machine where the STAX
service is registered? And what operating system?
Post the output from the following command, substituting the name of the
machine where the Perl script is being run and then run again with the
name of the STAX service machine and post the resutls.
STAF machine MISC LIST PROPERTIES
Also, what codepage is STAF using on the machine where the Perl script is
being run?
And what codepage is STAF using on the STAX service machine?
Post the output from the following command to see what codepage STAF is
using on a machine, substituting the name of the machine where the Perl
script is being run and then run again with the name of the STAX service
machine and post the resutls.
STAF machine VAR RESOLVE STRING {STAF/Config/CodePage}
If you are not running the latest versions of STAF (V3.4.5) and STAX
(V3.4.5) on these machines, then upgrade to the latest versions and see if
that resolves the problem or not.
