That message usually indicates a mismatch between the OS architecture and
the STAF architecture. What is the output of "uname -a"? What are the
complete contents of file /home/saurabh/staf/staf/install.properties?

Thanks,
David

Hello folks,

I am new to staf and trying to install it. I used STAFinst on Ubuntu
10.04 LTS.

The staf get installed in the desired location, but executing the binary
fails.

root@saurabh-laptop:/home/saurabh/staf/staf/bin# ./STAFProc
bash: ./STAFProc: cannot execute binary file

even if the Environment variables are set like $PATH,$CLASSPATH ,
$LD_LIBRARY_PATH, $STAFCONVDIR are set , even then it gives the problem.

The STAFInst was executed using the proper options like -accept-license,
-targert, -bin, -lib and -options for python2.6. Still I am not sure about
the failure to execute the STAFProc or STAF.

  Appreciate to listen for inputs.

Thanks
Saurabh
