Hi, Are you running the latest versions of STAF (V3.4.1) on both machines?
STAF local MISC VERSION
STAF remote_ip MISC VERSION
Can the remote machine communicate to your local machine via STAF? On the
remote machine, does a "STAF <your-local-machine> PING PING" work? You
need to make sure that works in order for the garbage collection to work
correctly.

Hi,
I tried the sem service according to the user guide.
C:\>STAF local SEM REQUEST MUTEX Mutex1
this works fine and the mutex is garbage collected. However, if I change
the local to an IP address of the other machine.
C:\>STAF remote_ip SEM REQUEST MUTEX Mutex1
The mutex is created but is not garbage collected.
Does anyone know how to make garbage collection working?
