Phil,

Yes, you can use any name for the Event service.  When configuring the 
STAX service, you can specify the following PARMS option:

EVENTSERVICENAME specifies the name by which the Event service will be 
known to the STAX service. It defaults to "Event" (not case-sensitive) if 
not specified. This option will resolve STAF variables. 

For example:

SERVICE STAX LIBRARY JSTAF EXECUTE C:\STAF\services\stax\STAX.jar \
             PARMS "EVENTSERVICENAME EventXYZ"

Quick Question:

I have a STAF installation that I want to include the STAX service onto.

I already have a STAF service called EVENT on the machine (custom 
service).
I noticed that the STAX documentation states that the STAFEvent service is
to be loaded with the service name of EVENT.

Is this hard-wired, and if not can I configure STAX to use a different
service name for the STAFEvent service?
I would like to avoid a clash of the service name.
