STAF uses TCP/IP for network communication, so as long as your wireless
communication using zigbee works with TCP/IP, then STAF should be able to
communicate to the standalone machine.
You may want to read some of the documentation for STAF
(http://staf.sourceforge.net/docs.php) to get a better understanding if
STAF/STAX are the right tools for your automation.
Note that if your application is a GUI application, you would need to use
a tool such as Rational Function Tester to automate the interaction with
the GUI. Then once you have that automated, you can use STAF/STAX to
execute the GUI automation tool and collect logs, analyze the output, etc.

[staf-users] Feasibility of STAF
Hi,
I have a question regarding the feasibility of using STAF for test
automation in my project.
I have an application running on a stand alone machine and having wireless
communication using zigbee.
I will have to conduct regression tests multiple times.
Is STAF the right tool to build the test framework?
