David
Thanx for the quick help.
I have installed the Java X libraries version libXp-1.0.0-8.i386.rpm and now
I'm able to install STAF ..

Ansari

Subject: Re: [staf-users] Linux STAF installation failed

This is a known issue with InstallAnywhere, where it requires the Java/Swing X
libraries to be installed on the Linux system (even if the installer is just
doing a console or silent install). More information can be found at
http://kb.acresso.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=Q113124&sliceId=

This is documented in our STAF Installation Guide
(http://staf.sourceforge.net/current/STAFInstall.pdf) section 6.2 "Linux
installation" (although the link to the Acresso site has changed, so I will
update the link in the document). I'll also add more specific information
about the problem happening during console/silent installs.
