Thank you Sharon. I provided a OPTION JVM in STAF.cfg and pointed to the
JRE that came bundled with STAF with the same results. The bundled JRE
should be 64 bit. Correct? I cannot tell right now whether my JRE is 32
or 64 bit but I think it is 64 bit.

It doesn't appear that you using a 64-bit version of Java. The STAF
Java support provided Solaris Sparc 64-bit requires a 64-bit JVM. The
output from "java -version" for the JVM that you configured STAX to use
appears to be a 32-bit JVM, not a 64-bit JVM.

java version "1.5.0_16"
Java(TM) Platform, Standard Edition for Business (build 1.5.0_16-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.5.0_16-b02, mixed mode)

[staf-users] Error running STAF on Solaris 10

Hi,

I was trying to setup STAF on Solaris 10 Sparc 64 bit. STAFProc starts
fine.

Then I tried to setup the STAX service and I get an error "Unable to
connect to JVM"

The JVM log reports the following

Has anyone seen this issue before? Can you help me with this?

Thanks,
