You need to provide more information in order for us to help you. What is
the exact STAF command that you are running and how are you running it?
Does that STAF command ever complete?
Are you sure that the remote machine can communicate via STAF back to the
hostname of the machine submitting the request so that it can tell it
when/how the request completed?
That is, on the remote machine, does the following command work?
STAF <hostnameOfSubmittingMachine> PING PING
