We have a FAQ entry that describes how to access the system date/time on
the STAX service machine:

Subject
[staf-users] [STAF-USER] : About extracting the system time through STAF
command

Hi,

I have to extract system time through STAF while executing STAXJob with
the
help of STAX service. I haven't found any STAF command that returns the
system time.

Currently I am using DOS command for finding system time. Output of DOS
command depends on the DOS version. So please suggest me if STAF provide
any
such command, so that output will become DOS independent.

With best regards,
Mohammad Shahid Jamal
