Hey List,

It took me quite a while to find out the reason why only on EL9 based
distributions I couldn't build the RPMs.
I have found that the LTO (Linking Time Optimization) is enabled by default
in rpmbuild on EL9 and this caused squid to fail the build.
This issue existed in the past(V4) and was resolved some time ago(V5) but
now it appear to exist again.
I have built the RPMS for:
* Rocky Linux
* Oracle Enterprise Linux
* Alma Linux

I have not tested the builds yet but since only the LTO is the difference it
should be fine.
I will test the build of Rocky Linux 9 in my production environment in the
next few weeks.

I have worked for quite some time on the Squid Nuggets series with the hope
to release couple technical videos on the internals of SquidGuard
to give new programmers a nice open project for fun.

The repos are at:
https://www.ngtech.co.il/repo/

https://www.ngtech.co.il/repo/rocky/9/

https://www.ngtech.co.il/repo/alma/9/

https://www.ngtech.co.il/repo/oracle/9/

Let me know if you need some help with the packages.
