Hey Marcelo,

Squid was not designed for Android devices and would need an expert to make it
work on a simple Android device.
Squid-Cache is a server which provides services and it should be used on one.
If you wish to convert your S10 to a server that's another story and you are
probably on the wrong place for that.

Subject: [squid-users] Squid Server on Android Devices?

Hello.

Is it possible to run squid on Android devices?
I was thinking about using an android device as a peer.
I would like to run some tests. I got a Samsung S10 with Android 12 that
already works with Ethernet Theatering and the USB-c/Ethernet cable.
Which Squid package should I use for that? This hardware is an ARM64.

I am thinking about root this device in order to run a SSH access to begin.

Any advices for this journey?

Marcelo
