It works only with ICAP or ECAP but I was talking about ICAP.

I wrote an example golang service at:

It is licensed with 3-clause BSD so you can use it freely.

It’s pretty simple to understand the code and I have used it in more
then one production environment in the past years.

The above is modifying the response of a page while you can just push into the 
page a template.

Just so you would see that the production is using one that is similar to the 
next one:

Is adapted_http_access supporting url_rewrite_program  ? It seems only supports 
ecap/icap
