That works on destination server level and no proxy or client. Plus if someone was to try: reply_header_access Vary deny all reply_header_replace Vary Accept-Encoding What are the implications? Anything affects gzipped/non-gzipped content? Nevertheless, I would rather simply not cache instead manipulate http headers.
