Hi, Thanks for pointing me to the right place for this. The issue I faced was similar to the one mentioned below. Specially, I wasn't able to close the empty untitled notebooks within Spyder unless restarting it. https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder-notebook/issues/120#issuecomment-343834239
However, strangely, the issue disappeared today. The only thing I did that could help resolve the issue was that I somewhat "Reset Spyder to factory defaults". So next time I encounter the same problem, I will try this again. I found another "problem" with the Spyder Notebook. On high resolution screen, the font size of the notebook opened within Spyder is too small compared with other areas of the Spyder interface, as shown in the following figure.
