I find frequently when running a cell in spyder3 that the text doesn't echo to the screen and that while the python prompt returns immediately, sometimes the code execution doesn't seem to occur until I've hit return a few times in the console window. It seems like it is running all my code asychronously. Also, if I enter a simple list name and hit return it doesn't print the list. I've been using spyder 2 for several years and I love it and now I feel that important piece of my tool set is just broken. I'm hoping some default settings have changed and it is just a matter or fixing them. I'm very confused with how this is working.
