If I remember correctly, the second warning is fixed it spyder v2.3.2. The first one seems more suspicious.

In case it helps, I'm having the same problem with Mac OS X 10.9.5. I
try opening Spyder from the terminal, and this is what I got (after, of
course, more than 10 minutes of waiting):

Dec 31 15:16:53 indy.local Spyder[601] <Notice>: LSOpenURLsWithRole()
failed with error -600 for the file /Applications/Spyder.app.

Dec 31 15:16:56 indy.local Spyder[601] <Notice>: WARNING: Unexpected
error discovering local network interfaces: 'SysOutput' object has no
attribute 'flush'

I'm still doing research on this to see if I can solve the problem...

    How did you install Spyder and what version are you using?

    Anything change in the past week with regards to the software on the
    machine? For instance:
         New version of Spyder?
         OS updates?

    Have you tried starting Spyder from a terminal to see what is reported
    to the screen?

    Have you created a custom start up script for the Python console or
    IPython console?
