Hi,
Yesterday was exactly one month after we released our (longly awaited)
2.2 version, and I think it's been a real success! We've had almost 8000
downloads from all our versions and the number of reported bugs has been
small and nothing serious.
We plan to have a minor bugfix release (2.2.1) before the end of the
month, and another major release (2.3) by the end of July. The only
purpose of this version is to have full support for Python 3.
Unfortunately the promised integration with the IPython notebook and
other important improvements will have to wait until 2.4. We took this
decision to not delay Python 3 support any longer, which a lot of people
are looking for already, and to have 2.3 in the next stable Ubuntu
release (13.10).
Cheers,
Carlos
