I would guess this is an inadvertent copy paste from chapter 16, Table 16.2.2.1
DOES include some dry system options. Also, always remember to cite your
edition/year of NFPA 13, I assume based on the question this is a ~2016 edition
based query.

Subject: [Sprinklerforum] NFPA-13 Table 17.2.2.1

Looking for some clarification: Working on a warehouse storing Group A
plastics, assume nonexpanded, exposed (in cardboard boxes but the front is
open), open shelves, double and single racks. The kicker is the warehouse isn't
heated so

The kicker is the warehouse isn't heated so looking at a dry system. Table
17.2.2.1 only list system types as wet. However, 17.2.2.4 talks about preaction
systems shall be considered as dry when using Table 17.2.2.1.
Sooooo, can table 17.2.2.1 be used on a dry system?

Thank you,
