I have a shed roof on an apartment building protected by CPVC pipe. The shed roof has a 3:12 pitch. The only special application head that meets the slope and configuration requirement is the TY3190.
The heads' data sheet does not show a shed roof configuration, it only shows them being used in a hip, and in conjunction with BB's or SD's. The attic space is wood-framed and it will be a dry system. Has anyone used these heads by themselves, not in conjunction with the BB or SD heads? If I follow the spacing guidelines from the other diagrams, how many heads would I calculate? I'm thinking (7) would be fine. I've reached out to Johnson Controls, however, I thought I would get some other people's opinion and advice. Thank you.
