I Have a situation where I have a and 11' ceiling next to a 24" wide soffit against a wall. The first 1'-6" of the soffit is @ an elevation of 9'-6" and the last 6" is at an elevation of 9'-11" creating a "ceiling pocket" where the back 6" if I use figure 10.2.4.2(B) I only need to be 2-10 to spray under but im not sure if I can actually use this rule because of the small ceiling pocket. It seems silly to add so many additional sprinklers in these soffits because of a small 5" pocket..... Anyone ever run across this?
