We have a building with a 5'-0" overhang protected with high temperature dry
sidewall sprinkler heads. The owner would like to put some rack storage in this
location.

Products stored are metal parts (Class 1 commodities) to be stored on a single
row rack, they would like to store to 16'-0".

The design works hydraulically (0.198gpm)

NFPA defines Extra Hazard Occupancy as storage over 12'-0" and sidewall heads
are approved for extra hazard occupancies.

So I guess my question is can we use the existing dry sidewall or do we need to
change to a dry system? Seems like a waste.

Thank You
