Sprinklerforum, Section 9.3.14.3 says extend system over ceiling .6 x sq. rt. of design area (adjacent to drop ceiling) Than Figure A.9.14.3 states to extend 1.2 x sq. rt. of design area. Which one is it? Section 9.3.14.3.1 states to extend at least 24 ft. over ceiling (I understand that as a minimum). I am confused. Am I missing something so obvious? Can anyone help with clarity? is it .6 or 1.2?
