If you’re in the 2018 IFC Section 901.4.5 states “Any device that has the physical appearance of life safety or fire protection equipment but that does not perform that life safety or fire protection function shall be prohibited.”

Feels crazy that these can be marketed at all. Does AFSA, NFSA, or any of the major manufacturers have a communication pathway with like the consumer product safety commission or something like that?
