There is a section in 13 about water supplies for pipe schedule systems. That won’t give you something for a placard but it would tell you if there is sufficient water for it. 2. Placards are only required for hydraulically calculated systems. Several years ago, I was asked to hydraulically calculate a pipe schedule system in a school in my town. The FM was insisting on the full calc. When I went back to him and said the system in the much-gabled attic would be flowing 54 sprinklers in the 2535 sqft design area, which could not be provided by the existing system or town water supply, he changed his tune.
