I have come across an existing building with multiple riser and a new addition the new addition design criteria is 12 16.8 ESFR sprinkler with a minimum of 52 PSI. The existing water supply is not sufficient to supply this. Is there any code that does not allow the suction side of a fire pump to be connected to the bottom of an existing riser so that the fire pump only supply's the water in the new addition?
