Dear WG:

As some of you have noticed, the original timeframe for this WGLC has
passed. We left the call open through the discussions related to the NRP
Interim back in October, where one of the outcomes was the need to include
Operational Considerations in the related drafts.

This document added an Operational Considerations section in the latest
version (-16). Please take a look.

We will take any comments on this last change until January 15.

Thanks!

Alvaro.

Subject: WG Last Call: draft-ietf-spring-resource-aware-segments-15 (Ends
2025-10-09)

This message starts a 2-week WG Last Call for this document.

Abstract:
This document describes a mechanism to allocate network resources to
one or a set of Segment Routing Identifiers (SIDs). Such SIDs are
referred to as resource-aware SIDs. The resource-aware SIDs retain
their original forwarding semantics, with the additional semantics to
identify the set of network resources available for the packet
processing and forwarding action. The proposed mechanism is
applicable to both segment routing with MPLS data plane (SR-MPLS) and
segment routing with IPv6 data plane (SRv6).

Please review and indicate your support or objection to proceed with the
publication of this document by replying to this email keeping
[email protected] in copy. Objections should be motivated and suggestions to
resolve them are highly appreciated.

Authors, and WG participants in general, are reminded again of the
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) disclosure obligations described in BCP
79
[1]. Appropriate IPR disclosures required for full conformance with the
provisions of BCP 78 [1] and BCP 79 [2] must be filed, if you are aware of
any. Sanctions available for application to violators of IETF IPR Policy
can
be found at [3].

Thank you.
